John D. Lilly, 71, of Nimitz went home to be with the Lord March 27, 2019 at his home following a long illness.
Born May 17, 1947 in Summers County he was the son of the late Geter R. and Hazel Pauline Harvey Lilly. John loved to fish, hunt ginseng and ride his 4 wheeler.
Preceded in death by his wife Carol Jean Lilly; one infant daughter, Trina Renae Lilly; four sisters, Peggy Lilly, Carol Cales, Mary Lilly and Virginia Wills and one brother, Charles Richard "Sonny" Lilly.
Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Christopher Mark Lilly and wife Tammie along with their daughter Brooklyn Lilly of Ellison Ridge and Matthew David Lilly and wife Stephanie along with their family of Coal City; three brothers, Ronnie Lilly and wife Judy of Jumping Branch, Jimmy Dale Lilly and wife Norma of Jumping Branch and Bobby Lilly of Madams Creek.
At Johns request there will be no services and his body has been cremated.
