Jimmy Dale Lilly

Jimmy Dale Lilly, 83, of Jumping Branch went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 20, 2026 following a long illness.

Born September 29, 1942 in Jumping Branch he was a son of the late Geter R. and Hazel P. Harvey Lilly.

Jimmy was the owner and operator of J.D. Lilly Trucking Co. as well as an employee of Westvaco Papermill in Covington, VA. He was a farmer who raised beef cattle and enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Jimmy was preceded in death by six siblings, Charles “Sonny” Lilly, Jenny Wills, John Lilly, Carol Cales, Peggy Lilly and Mary Lilly and one son in law, Scott Cook.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 61 years, Norma Lilly; one son, Michael Dale Lilly and wife Elizabeth of Hurricane; one daughter, Michelle Lilly Cook of Jumping Branch; four grandchildren, Samantha Cook - Jones, Austin Cook and wife Katie, Andrew Lilly and Audrey Lilly; eight great grandchildren, Sadie, Sabel, Austin Jr., Jett, Silas, Lucas, Callan and Micah and two brothers, Bobby Lilly and Ronnie Lilly and wife Judy.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 24, 2026 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the George Lilly Cemetery at Jumping Branch. Visitation will be from noon until time of services on Saturday at the funeral parlors.
