Jeffery Lee Stewart, 67, of Pence Springs went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Peyton Hospice House following a short illness.

Born August 29, 1958 at Hinton he was a son of the late Weldon “Bub” and Edith N. Gunter Stewart.

Jeff was a member, adult Sunday School teacher and Assistant Superintendent of Pence Springs Community Church. He was 1976 graduate of Talcott High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was a retired United States Air Force Veteran. Jeff was also the owner and operator of Almost Magic Auto Detail. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and working with Scouting America troop #316 from 2014-2022. Jeff also enjoyed playing golf with his brother and brother in law (mulligans unlimited).

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Sheila McMillion, Barbara “June” Brunty and Sandra Brunty; one brother, Harvard “Pete” Stewart and two brothers in law, Davis Brunty and Leon “Tiger” Kmiec.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 24 years, Shirley Turner Stewart; three sons, Jeffery Lee Stewart Jr., Jeromie Lyle Stewart and Maverick Michael Logston (Stacie) all of Abilene, TX; two daughters, Trisha Ann Logston of Abilene, TX and Tosha Renee Ferguson (Dale) of Pence Springs; ten grandchildren, Emily Richmond (Michael), Sebastian Logston, Kadence Logston, Christian Logston, James Stewart, Violet Stewart, Myra Pearl Stewart, Stella Logston, Macie Logston and a special adopted grandson, J.T. Gravely. He was also survived by multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Pence Springs Community Church with Pastors Roger Persinger and Robbie Merritt officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 P.M. until time of services Tuesday at the church. At Jeff’s request his body has been cremated.
