Jason Ray Yopp, 37, of Midway passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at his home following a short illness. Born December 29, 1988, in Hinton he was the son of Rebecca Adkins Yopp and his stepfather, Clinton Oney of Hinton and the late Donald Yopp.
Jason was a grill chef at Texas Roadhouse and had formerly worked for Kirk’s Restaurant, Winterplace, Subway and the Omelet Shoppe. He loved playing the guitar, listening to music, playing video games, and building War Hammer figurines. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Besides his father he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Betty Adkins; paternal grandmother, Bonnie L. White Yopp; uncle, Harold Adkins Jr. and his cousin, Justin Cook.
Besides his mother those left to cherish his memory include his companion, Brittany Sturgill; two daughters, Lyanna and Isadora Yopp; sister, Elizabeth Yopp; three nephews, Shayden, Brayden and Hayden and numerous family and friends that adored him.
A celebration of Jason’s life will be held Monday, May 18, 2026 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with a family eulogy to be given at 7:00 pm.
Following the services Jason’s request was to be cremated.
