James "Jim" Thomas, 72, of Hinton entered into eternal rest Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Bowers Hospice House following a short illness.
Born October 27, 1944 at Talcott he was the son of the late William T. and Ellene Bragg Thomas. Jim attended the Ministry Place in Hinton and enjoyed fishing, camping and the outdoors.
Preceded in death by three brothers, John, Buddy, and Sammy Thomas and three sisters, Helen Thomas, Betty Thomas and Mary Landis.
Those left to cherish his memory include two brothers, Roger Thomas of Hinton and Eddie Thomas and wife Sarah of Hilldale; two sisters, Catherine Adkins of Hilldale and Shirley Bowling and husband Elliott of Shady Spring, several nieces and nephews and Hilda Basham of Hinton.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Rodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Esquire Cemetery near Hinton. Friends may call from 11:00 am until service time on Thursday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
