James Robert â??Jim Bobâ?? Lilly, 68 of Nimitz died at 8:30 P.M. Friday September 23, 2005 in the Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital following a three year battle with brain cancer. Born March 27, 1937 at Ellison he was the son of the late Caesar Crockett and Georgia Anna Ellison Lilly. Jim Bob lived most of his life in Summers Co. having worked for 30 years for the CSX Railroad before retiring as an engineer. A member of the United Transportation Union and the Bluestone Baptist Church. He was a veteran who served 4 years with the United States Army. Preceded in death by six brothers: Boone, Woodrow, Carlisle, Thomas, Julius, and Stewart Lilly, three sisters: Thressie Amick, Chloe Shuck, and Irene Lilly. Survived by his wife of 16 years Naomi Cantley Lilly, two sons: James Robert â??Jimâ?? Lilly Jr. and his wife Lisa of Parkersburg, Dr. Mark Lilly and his wife Jill of Lake Floyd, WV; one daughter Sherri Lilly of Smithfield, PA; two step-daughters: Mary Lilly and her husband Wayne of Crab Orchard, and Kathy Petitt and her husband Grant Jr. of Hinton; one step-son John Jones and his wife Vonda of Crab Orchard; three grandchildren: Thomas, Matthew, and Catherine; five step-grandchildren: Melissa Bragg and her husband Adam, Jennifer Lilly, Phillip Petitt and his wife Gayanne, Andrew Petitt and his wife Karen, and Kristin Jones; two step-great grandchildren: Adam and Ryan; one brother Erastus â??Rassieâ?? Lilly of Nimitz; two sisters: Geneva Bolen of Crab Orchard and Loretta â??Ritaâ?? Harvey of Nimitz. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Monday September 26, 2005 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Grant Petitt Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call from 6-9 P.M. Sunday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton
