Jacob Christopher Gill

Jacob Christopher Gill, 26, of Hinton made his trip home far too soon on the morning of July 17, 2026. Born June 5, 2000, in Beckley he was the son of Rebecca Meador and companion Michael Meadows of Hinton and Steven Gill of Hinton.

Jake loved the outdoors and traveling, he was a wild child, fun to be around, spontaneous, hilarious, goofy, and full of life and love. A fierce protector who loved his people with his whole heart unconditionally.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William David Meador.

Besides his parents those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Serena Sage; one sister, Morgan Paige Lowry and her son Aidan Thompson; two brothers, Stephen Tyler Meador and Corey Jones; maternal grandmother, Sandra Williams; paternal grandparents, Bear and Vera Gill; his close Texas family, Dawna Sandidge and husband Mick along with their entire family, Johnathan Rodriguez, Nicole Rodriguez, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel.

At Jake’s request, cremation services have been entrusted to the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors.
