Jackie Leo ?Jack? Ward, 57, of 232 Main St., Hinton, died Monday at his home, following an apparent heart attack.Born July 17, 1946 at Brooks, he was a son of the late Johnny F. and Lula Virginia Cales Ward.Jack had lived most of his life in Summers Co. He was a U.S. Army veteran,having served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was an avid sportsman and a member of the Hinton Moose Lodge. Jack was an employee of the Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital in Hinton where he worked as a licensed electrician. Preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Buster Ward and an infant sister, Naomi Ward. Survived by one daughter, Tammy Cox and husband Larry of Madam?s Creek, Hinton, one son, Lee Roy Ward of Bluefield, one sister, Norma Ward of Richmond, VA and two grandsons, Tyler Ward and Joshua Cox. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Pete Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Fox Cemetery at Brooks. Friends may call at the funeral parlor from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday. Friends and coworkers will serve as pallbearers.
