Helen Adkins

Helen J. Adkins, 73, of Hinton, died Saturday, January 22, 2005 at the home of her son, at Hilldale, following a long illness. Born July 27, 1931 in Summers Co., she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Maybelle Buckland Adkins. She had lived all her life in Summers Co. and had worked at Keaton?s Cleaners in Hinton and the Hinton Hospital and Summers Co. Hospital. In recent years she had worked as a personal sitter for several families. Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Adkins Jr., an infant son, one grandson, Cheyenne Adkins and one brother, Robert B. Adkins. Survived y one son, Thomas R. Adkins and wife Christine of Hilldale, three grandsons, Thomas Adkins Jr., Roman Adkins and Sebastian Adkins and two granddaughters, Tabitha Fox and husband Paul and Kizzy Bell Adkins, and two great grandchildren, Arizona and Atreyu Fox all of Hilldale, one brother, Jack J. Adkins and wife Mary, of Hazlett, NJ and two sisters, Nellie Turk of Edgewater, MD and Margie Ptasyznski of South Carolina. At Helen?s request, her body will be cremated and there will be no services or visitation.
