Goldie “Carol” Huber, 75 of Nimitz went home to be with the Lord Friday, August 8, 2025 at Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.
Born July 7, 1950 in Wyoming County, the city of Bud, she was a daughter of the late Ralph C. and Goldie Haynes Howerton.
Carol was a former pastor of Avis Holiness Church. She was a member of Church of the Living God at Madams Creek. Carol retired as an emergency room clerk from Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital. She enjoyed traveling, the beach and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin D. Huber; one daughter, Brenda Lee Hufnagle and three siblings, Jerry Howerton, Ralph Howerton and Donna Lynn Santiago.
Those left to cherish her memory include her three children, Allan Hufnagle, Douglas Huber and Goldie Bosold – Richmond and husband Randall; four grandchildren, Steven Hufnagle, Brenda Hufnagle and husband Josh Bryan, Raquel Huber and Skylar Bosold; two great grandchildren, Jaxson Bryan and Serena Bryan; four siblings, Charlene Adams, Terry Howerton and wife Sherry, Phyllis Landin and husband Ronnie as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Carol’s request a private family service will be held at a later date.
