Georgiaetta Gwinn Berry Harrah, 73, of Meadow Creek died Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the home of her daughter, Donna in Berkeley Springs.
Born April 24, 1941 at Meadow Bridge she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Georgia Vandall Gwinn.
"Getta" worked at Pipestem State Park but most of her life was spent as a homemaker & caring for a loving family. She was a dedicated & avid flower gardener and a lifelong attendee of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Gene "Tommy" Harrah; three brothers, Lovell, Eugene and Gilmer; five sisters, Christina, Arthenia, Faye, Daphine and Stacy.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving companion of 8 years her beloved dog "Oscar"; one son, Leslie Berry of Meadow Creek; three daughters, Deborah Judy & husband Aaron of Lindside, Donna Crook & husband Jeff of Berkeley Springs and Suzanna Harrah-Martin & husband Larry of Green Sulphur Springs; Grandchildren, Leslie Berry Jr, Tabitha Berry, Lucas Mullins, Ty, Ike and Eli Judy, Mary Smith and Katie Martin and many loving great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces & cousins.
At her request private graveside services and burial was held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the Gwinn Cemetery at Meadow Bridge with Anthony Carter officiating and Drema Wilfong provided a song of comfort. Grandsons and sons in law served as pallbearers.
Donations of sympathy may be sent to Hospice of Southern WV & Hospice of the Panhandle.
