George Michael Ray "Beetle Bug" Ballengee

George Michael Ray “Beetle Bug” Ballengee, 21, of Alderson passed away Tuesday August 4, 2026, following injuries from an automobile accident. Born March 8, 2005, in Ronceverte he was the son of the late Aimee Ballengee.

He was a construction worker, automobile mechanic, lawn care technician, heavy equipment operator and autobody repairman. George cherished his time with his son, hunting, riding motorcycles and spending time with his friends and family.

Preceded in death by his grandfather, Tim Ballengee.

Those left to cherish his memory include his dad, Michael Wells; fiancé, Brianna Workman; son, Hudson Michael Ballengee; uncle, Josh Ballengee; grandmother, Beverly Ballengee; grandparents, Jamie and Frank Parker; grandmother, Mable Wells; special cousin, Kain Bowyer and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Monday August 10, 2026, at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Butch LeGrand officiating. Burial will follow in the Tempa Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:30 until time of services on Monday at the funeral parlors.

Tyler Pauley, Justin Thomas, Kain Bowyer, Devin Wade, John Blake, Tucker Phipps, Justin Knapp, Seth Surbaugh, Josh Ballengee and Remington Fry will serve as pallbearers.
