Garnet G. Lilly, 98, of Sullivan passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014 at her home following a sudden illness.
Born January 22, 1916 at Streeter she was a daughter of the late James Willard and Cedella Edith Harvey Farley.
Garnet was a homemaker who loved flower gardening, family gatherings and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie M. Lilly; one son, Leon Lilly; one grandson, Chuck Richmond; two brothers, Laten and Colmer Farley; two sisters, Oma Goss and Dexter Allen and a daughter in law, Judy Lilly.
She is survived by two daughters, Joann Richmond and husband Charles of Crab Orchard and Sharlene Treadway and husband Jimmy of Groveport, OH; one grandson; two granddaughters; three great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; four sisters, Vella Farley of White Oak, Betty Meadows of Hinton, Josephine Shatley of Newark, DE and Jean Hartley of AL and one brother, Arthur Farley of IN.
At her request graveside services and burial will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity with Cleve Allen officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends are asked to gather at the cemetery from 10:30 A.M. until time of services.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
