Frieda Diane Lilly, 62, of Ellison Ridge entered into eternal rest Friday, April 22, 2016 at Charleston Area Medical Center General Division following a long illness.
Born August 23, 1953 at Summers County she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Macil Adkins Ward.
She was a member of the First Church of Nazarene. Diane was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Summers County. She enjoyed spending time with her family friends and especially her grandson. Diane never met a stranger and had a place in her heart for everyone.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Curly Joe Ward, Harold Ward, Harding Ward and Ray Ward and one sister, Mary Sue Frazier.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 40 years, Clarence O. Lilly at home; one daughter, Gina Bennett of Shelby, NC; one grandson, Bruce Dale Bennett Jr. of Shelby, NC; one great grandson, Corey Shelton Bennett of Shelby, NC; four sisters, Connie Cox and husband Robert of Ellison Ridge, Dreama Cox and husband Tom of Hamilton, OH, Judy Copeland and husband Buddy of Cleveland, OH and Phyllis Gillan and husband Steve of Beckley; two brothers, Harry Ward of Hamilton, OH and Douglas (Luke) Ward and wife Brenda of Beckley.
Rhonda Weikle, Tammy Miller, Rebecca McBride and Josiah Cox and numerous other nieces and nephews she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Rev. Richard Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral parlors.
Pallbears will be Bruce Dale Bennett Jr., Josiah Fred Clinton Cox, Mitchell McBride Sr., Mitchell McBride Jr., Andrew McBride and Jacob McBride.
