In Loving Memory of Frances Meador; December 22, 1927 – June 28, 2025.
With hearts brimming with love and a few fond chuckles, we say a joyful goodbye to Frances, a devoted homemaker who for 97 years nurtured family, farm life, and unforgettable memories. On Saturday June 28th, she took her final stroll through the garden, surrounded by family, love, and laughter.
Born December 22, 1927, Frances planted deep roots in the heart of farm life, where she stood as the cornerstone of her family. As a homemaker her entire life, she brought warmth and care into every corner of her home. She took great pride in providing for her family while tending to her gardens wearing her signature bonnet. She was the matriarch of family gatherings, hosting legendary Thanksgiving feasts every year until her mid-90s. She was famous for her biscuits and gravy, spaghetti and pumpkin cake.
From her favorite chair, she watched birds, deer and doted on her cows. Her green thumb worked wonders on every plant she touched, especially her beloved tomatoes!
She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Meador; one daughter, Mary Ruth Morris; grandson, Richard “Richie” Meador Linton; six siblings, Charles Junior Worley, Eva Pearl Bower, Macil Lorena Waddell, George Wilton Worley, Cleveland Ray Worley, Lola Mae Worley, and a very special friend, John Ratliff. They are surely waiting to greet her with a strong cup of coffee and a ripe tomato.
She leaves behind a thriving legacy in her three daughters, Aleece Linton, Suzy Meador, and Vivian Meador; nine grandchildren, Lesley Hall, Billy Linton, Seth Mantel, Jill Davis, Jordan Mantel, Tonya Morris, Scottie Morris, Michael Morris, and David Morris; twelve great grandchildren, Mitchell, Braxton, Lacey, Kymber, Hope, Dash, Koda, Brenton, Zeppelin, Carter, Nolan, and Scarlett; one brother, Dean Worley; several nieces and nephews, and a very special grand dog, Lambchop.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastors Mark and Dorothy Klass officiating. Burial will follow in the Worley Family Cemetery near Jumping Branch. Friends may call from noon until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Here’s to you, Frances—97 years of homemaking with love, harvesting joy, and teaching us to live every day to the fullest. Keep the coffee strong and the garden blooming up there!
