Frances Helen Martin Lilly, 69, of Riner, VA formerly of Hinton passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at her home following a long illness.
Born December 1, 1945 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Granville K. and Louise Collins Martin.
Frances was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving and caring homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking, raising her morning glories, and being a mother to all. She was a very proud grandmother and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Lilly; son, Barry Ray Lilly; brother, Kelly Lee Martin; and mother in law, Mary Louise Lilly.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Cynthia Martin, Benjamin Lilly, Mark Lilly, Kathy Lilly and Amy Lilly, all of Riner, VA; seven grandchildren, Christina D. Huffman and Hannah M. Rader, whom she raised; John E. Slusher, Michael S. Rader, Robert L. Rader, Hayley A. Eanes and Donald R. Lilly, all of Riner, VA; one great grandson, Michael A. Rader; three brothers, Ernest D. Farley of Cleveland, OH, Granville L. Martin and Billy Ray Martin of Hinton and two sisters, Glenna K. Anderson and husband Ed of Christiansburg, VA, and Sharon Petrey and companion Joe Konopinski of Cleveland, OH; a special sister in law, Phyllis Comer and niece, Sandra Comer.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Bill Ballengee officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call from 12 PM until time of services Tuesday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
