Everett Linard Martin, 79, of Elk Knob went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 5, 2015 at his home following a long illness.
Born May 22, 1935 at Hinton, he was a son of the late Amos and Vina Mae Adkins Martin.
Everett was of the holiness faith. He enjoyed music, playing his guitar, and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his four sisters, Daisy Tate, Ruby Steers, Delphie Meadows, and Virginia Martin; and one brother, Billy Junior Martin.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Jean Steers Martin at home; four sisters, Marie Trout, Dellia Ayers, Effie Rhineheart, Margaret Martin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Ron Iddings officiating. Burial will follow in the Steers Family Cemetery at Elk Knob. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of services on Thursday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
