Elocie Rush

March 17, 1939 — October 31, 2017

Elocie Manice Pack Rush, 78, of Nashville, TN formerly of Hinton went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN following a short illness.
Born March 17, 1939 at Hinton, she was a daughter of the late Cletis F. and Eunice Shrewsberry Pack and Betty Jo Cales Pack.
Elocie was a member of the Woodbine Freewill Baptist Church and the Five Points Free Will Baptist Church. She was a longtime employee of Woodbine & Woodbine Christian Academy with 29 years of service and was very active in church activities. Elocie enjoyed scrapbooking and loved children, she was a grandmother to many.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry Pack, Frank Pack, David Meadows and two sisters, Mary Ruth Hogge and Jewell Kay Pack.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 38 years, Richard Rush of Nashville, TN; two step daughters, Mandi Anderson and husband Patrick and Tara Dalton and husband Konner; step grandchildren, Emma and Cade Anderson and Aly and Laney Dalton; one sister, Bonnie White and husband Barney of Shady Spring; four brothers, Harold Pack and wife Linda of AZ, Eric Pack and wife Brenda of Lewisburg, Thurman Pack and wife Becky of Hartford City, IN and Cletis Pack and wife Becky of Beckley; brother in law, Bob Hogge of Ft. Wayne, IN; sister in law, Gloria Meadows of Lancaster, PA and a multitude of special friends, nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly.
Graveside service and burial will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Roles Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor David Weeks officiating. There will be no visitation. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery from 10:30 A.M. until time of services on Tuesday. A memorial service will be held 10:30 A.M. Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Five Points Fellowship, 210 South Tenth St., Nashville, TN 37206.

Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
