Edward "Ebbie" Taylor, 75, of Marie passed away Monday March 19, 2018, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born January 12, 1943 at Thayer, WV he was a son of the late Clarence and Maddie Rakes Taylor.
Edward was a former employee of Coles Nursery with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, spending time with family and friends.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Janice Taylor; one daughter, Karen Taylor; two sisters, Madeline Allen and Nancy Gill. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Those left to cherish his memory include four daughters, Brenda Vass of Marie, Barbara Taylor and companion Danny Scott of Glen Daniel, Teresa Miller of Jumping Branch and Heather Harrah and companion Robbie Bennett of Hinton; two grandchildren, Zernie Miller Jr. and Felicia Miller of Jumping Branch.
Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens near Hinton. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until time of services Friday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia.
