Dorothy Franklin Elkins, 86, of Hinton entered into eternal rest Friday, August 21, 2026 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.

Born October 24, 1939 in Radford, Virginia she was a daughter of the late Van and Virginia Sutphin Franklin.

Dorothy was a former beautician who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Elkins; two sons, Terry Elkins and Joe Elkins and one sister, Wilma Mabry.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Leigh Ann Davidson and husband Steve; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one brother, Joe Franklin and wife Doris; daughter in law, Connie Elkins; one very special daughter in law, Stephanie Elkins and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Main Street Care for all the love and compassion they showed Dorothy during her time there.

Honoring Dorothy’s request there will be no services.
