Dorothy Marie Dick, 57 of the Hinton House Apartments, entered into eternal rest Friday, June 24th, 2016, at the Bower's Hospice House in Beckley, WV following a long illness.
Born May 14, 1959, in Summers County, she was the daughter of Ada Mae Berry Ward, of Chestnut Mt. and the late Edward L. Ward. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Summers County. She attended the Ramp Holiness Church, and was a former employee of Pipestem State Park, in the Housekeeping Department. She enjoyed listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cleo Dick; one daughter, Rebecca Dick; one son, Billy Joe Dick; two sisters, Mary Ayers and Juanita Ward; and one brother, Jessie Ray Ward.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sons; James "Boone" Dick and wife Jessica, of Pearisburg, VA, and Hobert R. Dick, and companion Brandy, of Sandstone; seven grandchildren; Billy, Nina, C.J. and Julie Dick; Dylan Dick and Dakota Ballengee; and Derrick Dick; one sister, Joyce Bowles and husband Basil; three brothers, James Ward and wife Lorene, Freddie Gene Ward and companion Sandy, Charles Ward and wife Kathy; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Ramp Holiness Church with Pastor Felix Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Dick Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of services Tuesday at the church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
