Doris Virginia Hickman

 Doris “Jenny” Hickman, 81, of Ballard went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.

 Born August 8, 1943 at Tams, WV she was a daughter of the late Al Lewis and Liza Grose.

 Jenny was a homemaker. She was a loving and caring wife and mother. Jenny was the most compassionate person one would ever meet. She loved children and was a fierce defender of the underdog. 

 Jenny was preceded in death by one son, David Scott Hickman; three brothers and three sisters.

 Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 61 years, Morris Hickman; one son, Wesley Hickman and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

 At Jenny’s request her body will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
