Dolly C. Maxwell, 55, of Forest Hill went to meet Jesus in Heaven and be reunited with family Monday, April 13, 2026 at her home.

Born June 22, 1970 in Allegheny County, VA she was a daughter of the late Homer Ray Maxwell and Iris Jane Carr McCallister.

Dolly was a homemaker known as “Nanny” to her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She was a very strong willed, passionate woman who cared deeply for her family and friends, caring for them before herself, a very selfless soul. Dolly enjoyed fishing, cookouts, the outdoors and river and her dog especially, “Maverick.” She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Hunter Akers and Shannon Maxwell and wife Alisha; three grandchildren, Landon, Bryson and Lillianna Maxwell; special canine, Maverick; two brothers, David McCallister and Dustin McCallister and multiple friends, far too many to mention.

At her request her body has been cremated and private family services will be held at a later date.
