Paul Dempsey Lilly, 81, of Ellison passed away Saturday morning, November 13, 2010 at the Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital in Hinton, following a long illness.
Born June 22, 1929 at Ellison he was a son of the late Paul and Nancy Okes Lilly, a member of the Ellison Baptist Church, Graduate of Hinton High School and a school bus operator for the Summers County Board of Education for 33 years.
He is preceded in death by his five brothers; Olie, Don, Lester, Ernest and Rovey Lilly.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 60 years, Syble Maxine Moye Lilly at home; two sons, Bobby Lilly and wife Bonnie of Nimitz and Michael Lilly of Ellison; two granddaughters, Erika Lilly of Nimitz and Katie Lilly and husband Luke of Nimitz and one sister Gaye Lilly Basham of Ellison.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday, November 15, 2010 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly Family Cemetery at Ellison. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from noon until time of services Monday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
