Debra Gay Goff

Debra Gay Goff, 72, of Big Island, VA formerly of Hilldale, WV passed away November 14, 2025 at Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.

Born February 2, 1953 in Bedford County, VA, she was a daughter of the late Earley Odell Sr. and Sylvia Edith Bulis Fitzgerald.

Debra was a former employee of Eagle Eyrie Baptist Conference Center. She enjoyed traveling through the country and spending time with friends and family.

Debra was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Lynwood Goff; one sister Rhonda Fitzgerald; two brothers, Ricky Nelson Fitzgerald and Earley Odell Fitzgerald Jr.; and son in law Jack Monroe.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Anitra Fitzgerald-Monroe and Tammy Goff; one son, Damien Lars Goff; one sister, Joanne Rorer (Darrell) and two sisters in law, Nadine Kennedy (John) and Ellen Mabry (Eldred); one niece, Megan Rorer; grandchildren Jacob Michael Goff, Liam Goff, Micah Monroe, Philip Smith, Tama Davis, and several great grandchildren and friends.

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at the Hunting Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Bledsoe officiating. Burial will follow in the Hunting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Big Island, VA.
