David Lee "Scrappy" Weikle

David Lee “Scrappy” Weikle, 57, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division following a long illness.

Born December 24, 1968 at Hinton he was a son of the late Doris Lemon Gill.

David worked for Southern Sanitation for many years. He enjoyed fishing, music and spending time with his family and friends.

Besides his mother he was preceded in death by three brothers, Timmy, Ronnie and Darrell Weikle.

Those left to cherish his memory include five siblings, Becky Lucas of Hinton, Teresa Weikle Bryson of NC, Leslie Weikle and wife Sarah of Hinton, Bonnie Raines and husband Steve of Hinton and Mitchell Adkins of Hinton as well as several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Junior Martin of Hinton.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors & Cremation Care Center and a memorial service will be held at a late date.
