David A. "Cow" Martin, 61, of Tug Creek went home to be with the Lord Monday, August 28, 2017 at Bowers Hospice House following a short illness.
Born January 27, 1956 at Hinton he was a son of the late Russell W. and Elizabeth Mae Sheppherd Martin.
David was a retired track foreman at CSX with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, farming, tending to his cattle and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Royce Ann Judy Martin at home; one son, Ryan Allen Martin and wife Wendy of Tug Creek; four grandchildren, Coty, Bryce, Katelyn and Grace; three siblings, Tommy Martin and wife Hazel of Beaver, Mary Martin of Tazewell, Virginia and James Martin of Colorado and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Friday, September 1, 2017 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Knob Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
