Dana Marie Bragg, 34, of Tug Creek, Hinton, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Summers County ARH following a sudden illness.
Born August 29, 1981 at Waynesboro, VA, she was a daughter of Jeannie Gump Burkett and husband Barry of Waynesboro and the late Randy Alshire.
Dana was a former employee of Pipestem State Park and Save A Lot of Hinton. She enjoyed riding four-wheelers, hunting, outdoors, writing, gardening, music, animals, and spending time with her family and friends.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William and Dorothy Alshire and maternal grandparents, Gene and Mary Brown.
Besides her mother, those left to cherish her memory include her husband of ten years, Paul Bragg; son, Robert Bragg; daughter, Meghan Bragg; sisters, Meredith Hammer of Waynesboro, VA, Jennifer Comer of Covington, VA, Sherry Miller of Richmond, VA; brother, Alan Alshire of MD; aunt, Wanda Bragg and husband Daniel of Tug Creek; uncles, Allen Brown, Phillip Brown, and Eddie Gump of Waynesboro, VA; best friend and mother in law, Bertie Adkins of Hinton; best friend, Dale Ann Painter of Virginia; special nephew, Dustin Bragg; and numerous family members and friends whom she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of services on Friday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
