Daisy Leona Martin Tate, 81, of Hinton died 12:55 A.M. Monday, March 20, 2006 following a long illness. Born September 26, 1924 in Hinton she was a daughter of the late Amos F. and Vida Mae Martin. A lifelong resident of Summers County and a member of the Avis Holiness Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Tate Sr. on December 12, 2000, one son, Hobert Junior Martin, one daughter, Margaret Ann Tate, and two sisters, Ruby Steers and Virginia Martin. Survived by three sons, James and Jack Martin and Paul J. Tate Jr., eight daughters, Evelyn Gill, Connie Bynog, Alice Fleshman, Linda Vest, Martha Buckland, Rebecca Romanello, Sharon Tate and Anna Lisa Carr, three brothers, Everett Martin, Billy Martin and Jessi Martin, four sisters, Margaret Martin, Della Ayers, Delphia Meadows and Marie Trout, forty two grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Brother Rick Hamrich officiating. Burial will follow in the Upland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from noon till time of the service on Friday.
