Clarice Lilly

Clarice E. Lilly, 92, of Ellison, died Friday morning, July 9, 2004 at the Sunbridge Pine Lodge Care Home at Beckley, following a long illness. Born March 11, 1912 at Pipestem, Clarice was a daughter of the late John Lewis and Minnie Meadows Graham and had been a lifelong resident of Ellison and was a member of the Ellison Missionary Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Lilly in July of 1971. A son Lloyd Lilly in 1988 and a grandson Perry Lilly in 1990. Clarice was survived by five sons Edward Lilly and wife Virginia Athalene of Shady Springs, Merlin Lilly and wife Shirley of Jumping Branch, Arnold Lilly an wife Susie of Flat Top, Wilbert Lilly and wife Nancy of Ghent and Grady Lilly of Jumping Branch. One daughter Vada Lilly Wyrick and husband Delmer of Radford Va. A host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor in Hinton with Pastor John Ed Lilly officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly Family Cemetery at Ellison. Friends may call from 6 to 9pm Sunday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor in Hinton. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
