Clara Irene "Slatton" Mitchell

Clara Irene “Slatton” Mitchell, 61, was born on June 23, 1964, in Mullens, WV and went home to meet her Lord on May 11, 2026, at Summers Healthcare in Hilldale following a long illness.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Carol Slatton and one brother, Ricky Lee Slatton.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Brandon Mitchell (wife Carrie) and Bradley Mitchell; five grandsons, Cannon, Gage, Gunner, Remington, and Wyatt; one brother, Tim Slatton (wife Ann) and several nephews and nieces.

The family would especially like to thank Melanie (Sissy) Stewart and Calvin Lee McAlpine and his wife, Kari for their help and kindness during this difficult time.

Clara loved her family and friends in her own special way. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

Her wishes were that her ashes would be laid to rest next to her parents and brother in the family cemetery. Private graveside services will be scheduled at a later date.
