Clara Mae Grimmett Mansfield went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Main Street Health Care.

Clara Mae was born April 29, 1947, in Summers County, West Virginia, to the late Quilla and Icie Grimmett. She was employed at Summers Concrete and Supply for many years.

Clara Mae found joy in the simple things in life. She loved cooking, tending to her garden, shopping with her sister Delilah, and traveling to Florida and Tennessee. Most of all, Clara Mae cherished her family and the many memories made throughout the years.

Clara Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Mansfield, April 2025; Ralph J. “Bubba” Mansfield; her four brothers, Travis, Jack, Lester, and Kermit Grimmett; and one sister, Phylis Grimmett.

Those left to cherish her memory include her stepdaughter, Stephanie Marrero and her husband, Joe Marrero, of Florida.

She is also survived by her brothers, Charles of Toledo, Ohio; Doug of Oregon, Ohio; Curtis and his wife, Alice, of Hinton, West Virginia; Jim and his wife, Betty, of Hinton, West Virginia; Paul and his wife, Peggy, of Sandstone, West Virginia; Quilla of Huntsville, Texas; Roger of Hinton, West Virginia; and Jerry and his wife, Sherri, of Hinton, West Virginia; and her sisters, Ollie Meachem of Green Springs, Ohio; Jane Finnemore and her husband, Bob, of Belmont, New York; and Delilah Campbell and her partner, Jerry Wheeler, of Beckley, West Virginia.

Clara Mae also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews on both the Grimmett and Mansfield sides of the family. She loved each and every one of them dearly, from holding them in her arms when they were young, to watching with pride as they graduated, grew into adulthood, and moved forward in life. The love she shared with her large family will remain a treasured part of the memories they carry with them.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 24, 2026 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors, with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow at the One Arm Bill Lilly Family Cemetery in Jumping Branch, West Virginia. Visitation will be held from noon until time of services on Thursday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
