Cherish Marie Crook

Cherish Marie Crook, 41, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord, Friday October 17, 2025 at her home following a sudden illness.

Born April 18, 1984 in Winston Salem, NC she was a daughter of the late Orville C. “Sonny” Reed Jr. and JoAnna Susan Bennett Reed Horton.

Cherish was a graduate of Summers County High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children, listening to music and going out with her friends.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Orville and Maddie Reed; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Naomi Bennett and her best friend, Katie Stover.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Kaydyn Reed and Kase Crook; four sisters, Angela Slay, Ashley “Chloe” Reed, JoAnna Willis and husband Jeremy, and Jessica Richmond; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and five special friends, ValAngela Dodd, Joni Jackson, Anna Vargas, Jackie Cole and Shaun Crook.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Cherish and her memory will be from 12:00 -2:00 P.M. Monday, October 27, 2025 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel. There will be no viewing and cremation services have been entrusted to the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors.
