Charles Edward Wills

 

     Charles Edward Wills, 71, of Raleigh went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.

     Born February 19, 1952 at Ellison he was the son of the late Willis R. and Lennie W. Cox Wills. An employee with the City of Beckley until his retirement. He loved his dogs and spending time with family and friends.

     Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Penny Wills and two brothers, Dewey Wills and Herbert Wills.

     Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Ashley Wills of Raleigh; three brothers, Nelson Wills and wife Patricia of Ellison, Joseph Wills and wife Virginia of Nimitz and Robert Wills and wife Barbara of Ellison and three sisters, Retha Bolen and husband Wayne of Nimitz, Willa Basham and husband Darrell of Nimitz and Wilma Hatfield of Jumping Branch.

     Graveside service and burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the Lilly-Crews Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Bolen officiating. Friends are asked to gather at the cemetery from 10:30 A.M. until time of service on Wednesday.

     Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
