Charles Thomas "Duke" Richmond Jr.

     Charles Thomas “Duke” Richmond Jr. , 65 of Daniels passed away Monday, June 12, 2023 at Raleigh General Hospital following a long illness.

     Born January 16, 1958 at Hinton he was a son of the late Charles Thomas “Bud” Richmond Sr. and Louisa Smith Richmond.

     Charles was a construction worker and a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

     Charles was preceded in death by three sisters, Patricia Welch, Sara Cox and Janie Hylton.

     Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 38 years, Teresa Spade Richmond at home; one daughter, Amy Beth Richmond Townsend of TN; one son, Charles Thomas Richmond III of Daniels; two grandchildren, Sophie Rose and Charlie; one sister, Shirley Morton; two brothers, Roland Stone and Oliver Stone and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

     Per his wishes his body has been entrusted to Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors for cremation and a memorial service will be held 12:00 pm Friday July 14, 2023 the Meadow Creek Baptist Church.
