Charles Wilson "Buddy" Martin, 87, of Pipestem went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.
Born January 29, 1932 at Hinton he was the son of the late John and Margaret Lamb Martin.
Buddy was retired from E.F. Hauserman in Cleveland, OH. He was a member of Cooks Chapel Baptist Church. Buddy was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed feeding the birds.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Alice Thornton and a brother, James Martin.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Martha Ratcliffe Martin of Pipestem; daughter, Rhonda (Robert "Cotty") Farley of Pipestem; son, Randy Martin (Diane) of NC; four grandchildren, Mark (Joni) Farley of NC, Angela (Jody) Richmond of Hurricane, Shawn Martin of NC and Tara (J.J.) Lone of NC; six great grandchildren and two sisters, Bonnie Romanello and Donna (Tom) Yancey both of Hinton.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Lilly-Crews Cemetery with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Friends are asked to gather at the cemetery at 10:30 A.M. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes for donations to be made to Bowers Hospice House, PO Box 1472, Beckley, WV 25802-1472.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
