Charles Kouns

Charles Kenneth "Cotton" Kouns, 78, of Talcott went home to be with the Lord on October 1, 2015 at Raleigh General Hospital following a long battle of illnesses.
Born May 26, 1937 in Kentucky he was a son of the late Clayton and Iona Broome Kouns.
Charles was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Randy Kouns; four brothers, Boyd, J.R., Lewis and Lawrence Kouns and one sister Belva Kiser.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Billie Kouns; son, Tim Kouns and wife Denise; daughter, Angela Roy and husband Jerry; one brother, J.P. Kouns; two sisters, Pam Daniels and Wilma Workman; grandchildren, Emilee Cadena and Bridgette Wunderlich and a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor J.D. Fox officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley. Family and friends may call from noon until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral parlors.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
