Brother Harless

Brother Dolphus Jean Harless affectionately known as Dad, PaPaw, PaPaw with the chickens, Candy Man and Brother went home to be with the Lord Friday, August 10, 2018 at his home following a short illness.
Born October 28, 1936 in Crichton, WV to Lawson and Mary Duncan Harless he was one of eleven children.
Dolphus was a faithful member of Ramp Holiness Church since being saved in 1994 with special friend and pastor Brother Felix Baker.
Dolphus was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 43 years, Edna Hocum Harless; two sisters, Dixie Simmons and Norma Smith both of MI; nine children, Tommy Peal and wife Jess of Ramp, Tammy Harless Churchwell and husband Danny of Alexandria, VA, Terri Peal Cole and husband Earl of Brown City, MI, Wade Harless and wife Yvonne of Chesterfield, MI, Ruth Peal Virostick of New Haven, MI, Brenda Peal Waterfield and husband Terry of Virginia Beach, VA, Lisa Peal Weig of Macomb, MI, Mike Harless and wife Margo of Yachats, OR, Doug Harless and wife Nancy of Pueblo West, CO; grandchildren, Abby "Gabby Abby" and Greg Adkins, T.J. "Theodore" Peal and wife Crystal, Haley Peal "Hannah Hellian", Kelly "Carrot Top" Brown and husband Mike, Terri Hart and husband Brian, Weston Lewis, Wade Harless Jr., Jillian "Curley" Rank and partner Mark, Cherlyn Virostick "Beaver" and partner Ashley Jacques, Terry Lee Hudkins and wife Nicole, Bill "Chilly Willy" Weig Jr., Grant Harless, Nick Savage and wife Stephanie, Samantha Savage and Aspen Harless; great grandchildren, Tyler "Pike" Wills, Brooklyn "Dolphina" Adkins, Logan "Theodore Jr." Peal, Gage "Big Dude" Peal, Olivia Klobnock, Kinzlee Ertman, Cheyenne Hudkins, Phoebe Harless, Ethan "Tracks" Brown, Devon "On Time" Brown, Kassandra "Pebbles" Farley and husband Brian, Damian "Bam/Bam" Ward, Kourtney Hart, Alex Hart, Corbett Lewis, Maverick Lewis and Noah Jacques; adopted children by love, Duane Hocum and Margaret Cresong; special niece, Leanna Hocum; ex spouse, Almeda Jean Shawver and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Ramp Holiness Church at a later date. His wishes were honored to be cremated and buried at his home place.
