Brian Scott Bennett, 42, of Hinton passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.
Born February 22, 1972 at Hinton he was a son of Ramona Crook Bennett of Hinton and the late Joe T. Bennett.
Brian was a 1990 Hinton High School Graduate where he was a member of the football, basketball, baseball and track teams and a 1994 Graduate of Marshall University. He was a member of the Hinton Elks Lodge # 821. Brian was an insurance adjuster in southern West Virginia and enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and the outdoors.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Howard and Myrtle Crook and paternal grandparents, Raymond and Mazie Bennett.
Besides his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 13 years, Andi Gore Bennett of Hinton; two brothers, Stephen Bennett and companion Alisha Meadows of Peterstown and Mike Bennett of Hinton; one niece, Britni Williams; one nephew, Triston Bennett; father and mother in law, Jim and Susie Gore; grandmother in law, June Meadows; several aunts, uncles, cousins whom loved him dearly and his beloved pets, Marco and Fez.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Crook Family Cemetery at Jumping Branch. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. until time of services.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made to the Dickie Noel Scholarship Fund c/o: Ruth Noel, 410 Riverside Dr., Hinton, WV 25951.
