Brenda Gail Ward, 66, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord on Sunday April 10, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House following a long illness. Born December 31, 1949 in Greensboro, NC she was the daughter of the late Robert Daniel Lowe and Bobbie Ann Reid Walker of Greensboro, NC. She was known to everyone as Gail and attended the Hinton Gospel Tabernacle. A dedicated and loving wife and mother who was a passionate collector of dolls and ducks she loved learning new and different recipes of all kinds of food.
Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Robert and Jenny Reid.
Survived by her husband of 41 years, Carlos Ward of Hinton; one daughter, Sheila Chapman and husband Joe of High Point, NC; three sons, Marion Ward and companion Carla Meadows of Flat Top, Ronnie and Charles Ward both of Hinton; seven grandchildren, Chris, Tiffany, Tim, Brian, Kelly, Sabrina and Jacob; two great grandchildren, CJ and Kiri and one brother, Donnie Lowe and wife Faye of Greensboro, NC.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Lawrence Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Cales Cemetery at Chestnut Mtn. Friends may call from 6-9 pm on Wednesday at the funeral parlors.
Her family will serve as pallbearers.
