Brantly Neil Gardner

Brantly Neil Gardner, 54, of Coal City went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Cabell Huntington Hospital following a short illness.

Born March 25, 1971 in Baltimore, Maryland he was a son of James Monroe Gardner Sr. and wife Gloria of Maryland and Beverly Gail Cook Evans and husband Mason of Coal City.

Brantly was a member of Bible Baptist Church in MacArthur where he enjoyed attending church activities. He was an employee of Papa John’s in Beckley for many years. Brantly enjoyed studying and reading his Bible and his desire was to be able to take everyone to Heaven with him.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James “Jamie” Monroe Gardner Jr. and Shawn Monroe Thomas Gardner.

Besides his parents those left to cherish his memory include his four children, Dylan James Gardner and wife Jessica, Kamara Forren-Gardner, Juliahnia Gardner and Noah Christopher Bragg; two grandchildren, Elijah Gardner and Isabella Gardner; two sisters, Diana Gardner and Erica Gardner as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial services will be 5:30 P.M. Monday, August 11, 2025 at Bible Baptist Church in MacArthur with Pastor Sam Green and Brother Eddie Tucker officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 P.M. until time of services on Monday at the church.
