Bonnie Sue Killen, 83, of Lockbridge went home to be with the Lord and was reunited with those that had passed before her Friday, May 8, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family, following a long illness.

Born December 30, 1942, in Alderson she was a daughter of the late Walter E. and Grace Daye Bennett Dixon.

Bonnie was a member of Lockbridge United Methodist Church. She was a former co-owner and operator of Blue Valley Lumber Company serving as secretary. Bonnie was a modern western square dancer who started the Sunset Promenadors. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved gardening, flowers and spending time with her family and friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by five siblings, Carl Dixon, Violet Castle, Jean Frashure, Lucy Campbell and Velva Phillips.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 65 years and 5 months, Jerry Killen Sr.; four children, Jerry “Tink” Killen Jr., David A. Killen and wife Kathy, Timothy Lee Killen and wife Heather and Candance Killen; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Dixon and wife Patricia; one sister, Carolyn Brown and husband Wyatt and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service was held at the Pine Hill Farm Cemetery at Lockbridge.
