Betty J. Meadows of Hinton went home to be with the Lord Wednesday March 29, 2017 in Martinsburg, WV.
Born April 28, 1932 in Hinton she was a daughter of the late Haze and Mattie Williams Criddle.
Betty was a member of the Central Baptist Church and formerly attended the Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church. She was a former employee of G.C. Murphy Co., J.L. Massie Insurance Agency, Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Humpty Dumpty Day Care Center. Betty enjoyed flowers, shopping and activities at the senior center.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy J. Meadows; two grandsons, Joe Michael Blankenship and Noah Josiah Serreno and one great grandson, Joel Lee Blankenship.
Those left to cherish her memory include her four daughters, Nancy (Leonard) Smith, Sandra (Grant) Serreno, Linda (Greg) Snider and Christina (Monty) Hannah; ten grandchildren, Candice, Robert, Brad, John, Brooke, Brittany, Bethany, Jenny, Carissa and Megan; fifteen great grandchildren and two sisters, Virginia Massie and Mary (Jennings) Cyrus.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel to celebrate Betty's life.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of donations to the Summers County Public Library, Summers County on Aging or your favorite charity.
