Betty Ruth Cochran Wills

     Betty Ruth Cochran Wills, 92, of Hilldale went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Lindside Healthcare Center following a long illness.

      Born December 27, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Minerva Via Cochran.

      Betty was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Summers County.  She was an avid seamstress who enjoyed sewing, knitting and a loving caregiver.   Betty was a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard B. Wills; one granddaughter, Michaelle Leigh Palmer and four siblings, Basil Cochran, Lacy Cochran, Anna Belle Bennett and Jack Cochran.

      Those left to cherish her memory include her four children, Kathyrn “Kathy” Palmer and husband David of Lowell, Teresa “Terri” Keatley and husband David of Forest Hill, Marilyn Foster and husband Andy of Asheboro, NC and Mark Wills of Hilldale; ten grandchildren, Johnathan, Joseph, Jennifer, Jamie, Crystal, Melissa, Amber, Jordan, Courtney and Chasta; seventeen great grandchildren, Kolton, Raelyn, Aidan, Adaleigha, Ty, Teague, Brooklyn, Sara-Kate, Nathan, Noah, Nolan, Adaley, Drew, Allie, Lynnzie, Westyn and Hartlyn; one sister, Pearl Campbell of OH and a special friend, she thought of as a daughter, Kathy Peplowski.

      Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastors Larry Cochran and Charles Drake officiating. Burial will follow in the Anderson-Vest Cemetery at Streeter. Friends may call from noon until time of services on Saturday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
