Betty Rose Sears Bennett, 70, of Tug Creek, Hinton, went to be with her Lord, Monday, July 19, 2004, at her daughter?s home, on Tug Creek, in Summers Co., following a long illness. Born June 21, 1934 at Woodrumtown, she was a daughter of the late Isaac D. and Anna Lee Bryson Sears. She was a homemaker, loving mother, and a member of the Holiness Faith. Preceded in death by her husband, Norman H. Bennett, four brothers, Robert, Otis, James and Hiram Sears and one sister, Margie Lee Sears. Survived by two sons, James David and Bobby K. Bennett, one daughter, Barbara Bennett Brinegar and husband Grayson, one granddaughter, Lora Brinegar Bragg and husband William ?Skeeter?, all of Tug Creek, Hinton, one grandson, Shane Brinegar of Cool Ridge, and one great grandson Robert Bragg of Tug Creek, Hinton, one sister, Goldie Lucinda Boone Martin and husband Billy of Hinton, six nephews; James Jimmy Gill and wife Cindy of Hinton, Marvin Boone Jr. of Whitesville, Ray Boone and wife Penny of Tug Creek, Hinton, Overton Bennett of NC, Richard Bennett of Wayside, Ronald and Calvin Bennett of Zion Mt., Hinton and Jeffrey Bennett of Livesay, WV, six nieces; Brenda Kay Adkins of Princeton, Shirley Ward of Hinton, Effie Weikle of Zion Mt., Hinton, Christine Ward of Pipestem, Norma Rookstool of NC and Susie Cole of Hinton, one aunt, Mandy Lemon of Hinton and one brother-in-law, Joe Bennett of Hinton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at the Hinton Gospel Tabernacle with Pastor Lawrence Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Sears Family Cemetery at Hix. Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton from 6-9 P.M. Thursday and at the church one hour prior to services. Pallbearers; Mark Meador, Doug Sears, Allen Brinegar, Jerry Fox, Ralph Ballengee, and William ?Skeeter? Bragg. Honorary Pallbearers; Russell Bennett and Kenny and B. J. Barker.
