Alma Reed

     Alma L. Reed, 91, of Talcott passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 following a brief illness.

     Born March 22, 1929 in Summers County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Flora Richmond Grimmett.

     Besides her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Ryan Reed; a brother, Owen Grimmett and a sister, Leona Ramsey.

     Those left to cherish her memory include her three children, Sharon Reed of Roxboro, NC, Janice Deeds of Lynchburg, VA ; one brother, Sonny Grimmett of Alderson; two grandchildren, Alishia and Kerri Deeds and three great grandchildren, Grayson, Marissa and Emmet. She also leaves behind her fat, yellow, tomcat, Susie and her special friend, Denise Miller of Everett, WA.

     For the past year, Alma was near home surrounded by friends and was privileged to be taken care of by several of the many children she babysat over the years. A special thanks goes to Kristy Buckland of Lindside.

     Due to Covid, a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations of sympathy be made to the Rollynsburg Baptist Church in Talcott.

     Burial will be at the Elk Knob Cemetery at Judson.
