Ronald Lee Sears, 56, of Hinton passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at his home following a long illness.
Born September 27, 1960 at Green Sulphur Springs he was the son of the late Willard Dempsey and Bessie Sears. A lifelong resident of Summers County he was a timberman and logger who enjoyed hunting, collecting guns and riding 4 wheelers. Ronald was a hardworking and dedicated father and grandfather who loved spending time with family and friends.
Preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Sears Berry.
Those left to cherish his memory included two sons, R.J. Sears and wife Savannah of Talcott and Brandon Sears of Hinton; three grandchildren, Keely, Hayden and Trenton Sears; siblings, Garland Sears of Brooks, Addie Ward of Greenville, Martha Sears of Hinton, David Sears of Hinton and Joe Sears of Brooks; three step sisters, Georgie June Klosski of Beckley, Bonnie Martin of Hinton, and Rita Price of Fireco; step brother, Roger Berry of Beckley; numerous nieces and nephews and a special caregiver, Rebecca Atik.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday April 4, 2017 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel. Burial will follow in the Sears Family Cemetery at Tug Creek. Friends may call from 6-8 pm on Monday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
