Lewis Cales

Lewis Gene Cales, 68, of Ramp transitioned to his heavenly home Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

Born February 24, 1953 at Ramp he was a son of the late Basil Gilbert and Ethel Bragg Cales.

Lewis was of the Pentacostal faith. He was a member of the Greater New Jerusalem Holiness Temple in Glen White. Lewis was a carpenter, electrician and a plumber. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Lewis was also a talented banjo player who loved bluegrass music.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Rassie Cales, Kermit Cales, Herman Cales and Vincent Cales and one sister, Betty Jane Coffman.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 49 years, Patricia Cales; one daughter, Marsha “Pigmeat” Hicks and husband Amos; grandson, Amos Gene Hicks and wife Mariah; five great grandchildren, Brenton, Kohen, Macie, Surin and Wrenley; one very special nephew, Scott Cales and his family, wife Angie and children Levi and Lindsey whom he loved dearly. Several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Keith Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Dick Cemetery at Ramp. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. until time of services on Sunday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
