Jennings Lewis Kirby, 87, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division following a short illness.
Born August 26, 1929 at Talcott he was a son of the late William Gordon and Lucille Raines Kirby.
Jennings was a member of the Laurel Creek Baptist Church and as a faithful member attended as long as his health permitted. He was a retired employee of West Virginia Division of Highways and enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of ten years Donna D. Kirby at home; one sister, Mattie Dean Dick and husband Leroy of Hinton and several nieces and nephews, six of whom he helped rear, Dr. Jerry Lowry, Pam Seamster, Vickie Cales, Teresa King, Drema Childress and Randy Lowry.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Talcott Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. until time of services on Thursday at the funeral parlors.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
