Elaine M. Berkley, 62, of Talcott went home to be with the Lord Wednesday February 7, 2018 at Peyton Hospice House following a long illness.
Born July 23, 1955 at Christiansburg, VA she was the daughter of the late Roscoe Blaine Sr. and Mary Ella Cook Eggleston. A member of the Pence Springs Community Church and worked as a receptionist at the Greenbrier Hotel with 42 years of service. Elaine enjoyed sewing, birdwatching, reading and spending time with family and friends especially her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Robert O. Berkley of Alderson, one son, Harvey B. Berkley and wife Kelsey of Alderson; two grandchildren, Landon S. and Leslie Jo Berkley of Alderson; special friend, Michael Stokes of Talcott; one brother, Roscoe "Rocky" Eggleston Jr. and wife Judy of Hilldale; one nephew, Danny D. Eggleston and wife Leslie of Hilldale; one niece, Mary "Missy" Johnson and husband Roger of Ohio; two great nephews, Trey and Tyler Johnson and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday February 12, 2018 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Roger Persinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Tempa Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Sunday February 11, 2018 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
